Farm Bureau Young People

The State Fair “fruit juice stand” in Detroit was one of the major projects the Farm Bureau Young People (FB Young Farmers’ predecessor) conducted each year. The young folks were responsible for all phases of the project, including handling the purchasing and selling of the products as well as coordinating the work teams. They sold apples, juice and milk.

Thanks to the deep memories of L. Kremhelmer, Bill Spike and Barb Radewald, we know standing next to the juice cooler, managing the stand is Harry Foster of Berrien County and Michigan Governor, Gerhard Mennen Williams aka Soapy is visiting the stand between 1957-1966.
