After 100 years, it’s time to party. On June 14, Michigan Farm Bureau will host a Centennial Celebration at its home office in Lansing, and regular farmer members are invited. Here’s what you need to know:
Who Is Invited?
This private, special event is open to MFB regular, farming members and their immediate family…so bring your kids, but not your cousins (unless your cousins are also MFB regular farmer members).
Is Registration Required?
Yep. If you want in, you must pre-register.
Why Is Registration Required?
We plan to pack the house and the lawyers are a bit concerned we’ll surpass the limits set by the fire and law enforcement folks…what kind of party would it be if we weren’t making the lawyers nervous? Pre-registration ensures we’re able to stay within capacity limits and plan enough food and drinks. There is no cost to register.
How Do I Register?
To register, click HERE.
What’s With The Registration Event Unlock Code?
So, you followed our instructions only to be asked for the secret event password… We added the code to make sure random strangers don’t show up at the party. To get the code, simply give your county Farm Bureau office a call.
What Do Tickets Cost?
They’re free. Yes. Free. No strings, no hidden charges. Free as in no charge. But…we need to know how many people you’re bringing (see above) so when you register, make sure to give us a proper ticket count.
Will There Be Food?
If you’re asking this question, we’d like to welcome you to your first MFB event…because if you had attended an MFB event before, you’d know we do nothing without food…
Burgers, corn dogs, ice cream, a selection of fair favorites…we’ll feed you and feed you well. And we’ll feed you FREE.
Is there any cost for the event?
See above. And, um, above-above. This is a 100 percent free event. No ticket cost. No registration fee. No cost for food. No cost for beverages with one excecption…there is a cash bar. You will get one free drink ticket. After that, cash bar kicks in. The dunk tank will be taking donations to support the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture, but that’s 100 percent voluntary.
Can I Bring The Kids?
Definitely — just know we intend to fill them up with deep-fried Oreos, brownies, cookies, ice cream and other delicious treats…
What Kid-friendly Activities Will There Be?
We’ve got all sorts of fun stuff for kids. Music, face painting, lawn games, pedal pull tractors, inflatables, crafts, performers. And did we mention the ice cream, elephant ears and cotton candy that kids can eat to their hearts’ content?
Where Do I Park?
Event parking is off-site at Mt. Hope Church, 202 South Creyts Road, Lansing, Michigan. Shuttles will run frequently throughout the event to bring guests parking off-site to and from the event. Handicap parking will be available at Farm Bureau Center (7373 West Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917) to individuals with handicap license plates or permits. If you require handicap parking, be sure to let us know when you fill out the registration form.
Do I Need a Ticket to Get In?
We will use a wristband system. Upon arrival at the event, visit the check-in tent. There your name will be checked against the registration list. As long as you’ve pre-registered to attend, you’ll be issued a wristband that allows entrance into the event.
Who is Jordan Davis?
Jordan Davis is one of country music’s fastest-rising stars and he’s the guy who will be there if someone ever singles you up…
The Centennial Celebration is your chance to see this emerging superstar in a personal concert setting.
